The Nigeria National Assembly is screening the last batch of the ministerial nominees today, Saturday and expected to confirm the candidates as requested.
Recall that the upper legislative Chamber was due to proceed on its recess by the end of July, 2023, but suspended the holiday to ensure that the screening and confirmation of ministerial nominees is done before proceeding on the annual vacation.
The last batch of the nominees which was released on Saturday has the following persons awaiting screening and confirmation. According to the Order Paper, the list as:
Lola Ade-John – Lagos
Bosun Tijani – Ogun
Dr Isiak Salako – Ogun
Dr Tahir Mamman – Adamawa
Uba Maigari Ahmadu – Tarabara
Dr. Mariya Mahmoud – Kano
Festus Keyamo, SAN – Delta
