Senate Frowns at DSS-EFCC Clash

Abiodun Olujimi, Senator representing Ekiti south, says no one is in charge of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led federal government. Olujimi said this on Wednesday while contributing to the debate on a motion on the standoff between operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo says there is no better man for the Presidency than President Muhammadu Buhari.

Okorocha said this while addressing leaders of the ‘Democratic Youths Congress for Buhari 2019,” who were on a courtesy visit to him at the Government House, Owerri on Tuesday.

He urged every Nigeria to support President Buhari for second term, adding that all but two Governors in the country, regardless of party affiliation, were in support of a second term for the President.

Senior Lawyer, Robert Clarke (SAN) says the possibility of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct general elections in 2019 appears to be slim. Clarke who stated this in an interview with Sun predicated his position on prevailing realities in the country. He maintained that it would be dangerous if INEC conducts elections under the current political arrangement.

The Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has expressed confidence that his party – the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), will win elections in other South- East states.
