Former PDP Spokesman, Dayo Adeyeye Defects To APC
A candidate of the People's Democratic Party in the recently concluded PDP governorship election in Ekiti state and former spokesman of the party, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has defected to the All Progressives Congress. It was earlier reported that Adeyeye who is a former Spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party was planning to decamp to the APC after his defeat in the gubernatorial primary.
Court Orders Prosecution Of Culpable National Assembly Lawmakers
The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the immediate prosecution of the principal officers of the National Assembly indicted in the padding of the 2016 budget to the tune of N481bn. The court, in a judgment on Monday by Justice Mohammed Idris, ordered President Muhammadu Buhari to instruct the anti-graft agencies which investigated the alleged budget padding to submit the report to him.
Nigeria Spends N2.7trn On Infrastructure In Two Years
The Nigerian government under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has spent 2.7 trillion naira on infrastructure development just under two years, Minister of Information and Culture Mr Lai Mohamed has said. The Minister also said that the government was very much committed to completing projects that have been abandoned by past administrations.
